The gap I kept seeing

For more than 20 years in investment communications, I watched the same thing happen. Firms with genuinely rigorous methodology would lose a mandate to a competitor whose work wasn’t any stronger. The difference was rarely the quality of the thinking. It was whether stakeholders outside the firm could access it.

That distance between the firm’s internal thinking and external understanding is the Credibility Gap my consultancy closes.

Writing usually isn’t the problem — most firms already have content that’s well-written, professionally designed, and technically accurate. The real issue is translation, and I spent two decades watching it go unaddressed.

The skill set this work demands is more uncommon in practice than you’d expect. Improving the prose is easy if you don't have to follow the analysis. Reading the analysis is straightforward if you don't have to make it land with a skeptical reader. Doing both — at the level of performance measurement, attribution, and methodology — is where most ESG and sustainable finance content breaks down.

My background sits at that intersection. Over the last two decades, I’ve translated investment complexity for a range of stakeholders. I earned the CIPM® designation from the CFA Institute, so the language of performance measurement isn't foreign to me. I also completed an MS in Business Intelligence and Analytics, so reading the data myself is the default, not the exception.

That matters more than ever in a market where polished language is easy, but defensible interpretation is not.

Where the work comes from

Every engagement starts with your methodology, not a template. I map where your content or data narrative breaks down with prospects, consultants, LPs, or internal teams. Then I translate your reasoning and trade-offs into content that shows how you actually think.

The credibility standard I hold the work to is simple: it should read cleanly through compliance, hold up when a stakeholders ask follow-up questions, and never put you in the position of walking back a claim.

How I work

You've already done the hard part — the expertise is real. Your communication should carry it without making you, your compliance team, or your stakeholders nervous.
